Dear Kelly,

I wanted to take a minute to thank you for your support, I can already see where it has made a difference in Zach in such a short time.  He has come a long way and we are so blessed to have the angels that have been sent to us along the way.  Thanks for being one of those angels and seeing how wonderful Zach is.  I can see you have such an internal commitment to helping children and making a difference in their lives. Thank you for letting Zach be one of those children you have taken under your wings.

With Gratitude,   Kathleen

My student has been seeing Kelly for the past three months. Over the course of that time, I have seen some real growth within her.  I have seen her experience empathy, which has been a huge conversation piece with her previous teachers and I anticipate greater gains as the sessions continue. Kelly has a gift of being able to translate emotions that a child experiences through her work to that of their peers, teachers, or parents. She can take an activity of having fun with an animal “cahoots”, and show how that relates to a child getting a charge out of having their friend do the “wrong” thing, or get away with something.
What I have seen in a “structured” school setting is great, what Kelly has shown through her animal experiences is even better. Kelly has a knack for connecting kids with their inner feelings through the activities in which she has the kids participate. One session, it was as simple has having a “visitor” goat come to spend some time with the rest of her crew because Kelly was trying to have the child experience the “odd man out” syndrome. It worked like a charm!
I truly believe that Kelly has a wonderful combination of education, common sense, and a real affinity toward both children and animals. The combination lends itself to a great experience. It is so exciting to see my student put the horse activities together with her own experiences with the children in her grade. She is now able to connect the incidental comments from sessions with her real life situations. The work that Kelly has done with this student has exceeded my expectations.

                 Sincerely,

                     Lynn

"When I get mad I think of Lucky and what he does when he doesn't like something.  He quietly walks away and swishes his tail.  I wish I had a tail."

"Osho is a silly goat, I love silly goats, he plays with me and we're friends. He's so silly, it's cool that he's silly.  He pushed me once and I didn't like it, I don't like to push anymore, it's not fun."
