Benefits include:

Improved physical and emotional regulation

Patience

Reduction of obsessive thoughts and behaviors

Perseverence

Focus

Increased ability to step back from and move through experiences and to evaluate and sort out future actions.

Qigong is a holistic system of self-healing that dates back over 3000 years.  The practice includes healing postures, movement, self-massage, breathing techniques and meditations.  Qigong is known as a "practice" because unlike ingesting typical medication it is not prescribed "to take" for a period of time, but rather, prescribed "to do" and practice daily.  The practice will adapt and change as ones needs and

current circumstances change.

Healing is active rather than passive.

To get started with Martial Mental Health one must first:

Step 1:  Call Kevin Perline at 802 324-4271 to discuss your

             interest and goals.

Step 2:  Schedule an introductory individual session.

Step 3:  Wait to be notified of the small group match best

suited  for you and your goals.

Depicted in the current videos are examples of sample exercises.  They are known as Qigong postures.   Their primary purpose is to improve health, energy and longevity as well as to increase the sense of harmony within oneself and in connection with the world around them.

Martial Mental Health in typically practiced within small groups of  4 participants.  Group sizes may vary by need and circumstances.   Typically an individual intensive is first required unless a pre-existing group is asking for a session together.

Frequencey of sessions will vary with goals and intentions as well as the time sequencing between meetings.  A group may want and need to meet weekly, while others may only require meeting once monthly.   Personal motivation and daily practice will greatly influence the success of this modality for individuals.
